Gareth Westmorland

DJing since he was 13, Gareth is the younger of the two DJs at DJ Hire Hull. His first DJing experience was at his Year 9 disco in 2007, and he has stuck with it as he has been a bedroom DJ ever since, and also moving onto venues and birthday parties.

His first experience of DJing outside of school and his home came in July 2011, playing a half hour set at Stereo Nightclub down George Street in Hull. His next gig was in August 2011 at Duice Bar in the city centre, warming up for one of Hull’s biggest house music nights, Get Shaky at The Welly Club on Beverley Road. He impressed there at his first night and has been back there for every warm-up gig for Get Shaky.

December 2011 was a big month for Gareth, as on December 10th, he was invited to play at one of town’s busiest clubs, SOHO. This was the warm up for another of Hull's big house music nights, RISKY, and he impressed yet again, playing for the Boxing Day event too.
